Your photos and retention
- Uploaded originals are stored privately for 7 days from upload. Generated photos are retained for 30 days from the generation request, whether downloaded in your account or through an emailed private link.
- Generated photos are copied to our private Cloudflare R2 storage before they are made available for download. Please download your photos before the expiry date shown in My Works.
- Access stops at expiry. An hourly cleanup removes expired files; R2 lifecycle rules provide a backup cleanup mechanism, which generally runs within about 24 hours of expiry.
- Use Delete permanently in My Works to revoke access immediately and delete the stored result and its associated original. Uploaded originals can also be deleted through the private image endpoint. Deletion cannot remove copies you already downloaded or shared.
- Only upload photos you own or have permission to use, including permission from a parent or guardian where required.
Image processing providers
Kie.ai receives the original photo through a short-lived private link and the instructions needed to generate your requested image. Cloudflare hosts the application and stores our copies of your images. Provider-side processing records and temporary copies are subject to the provider’s own privacy and retention policies.
Information collected and used
- Your name, email address and authentication records support your account and access to your photos.
- Photos, selected styles and task status are used to process your generation requests and show your works.
- Session cookies, language preferences, request metadata and service logs support authentication, security, support and service operation.
- Order, payment and credit records are stored separately from image files. Image deletion does not delete these records or change your credit balance. Credit validity is separate from image availability.
- Payment processors handle card details; we do not store full card numbers.
Access and sharing
Private images require an authorized account session. A short-lived link grants the image processor access to an original for generation. Random object names prevent content-based deduplication across users. Emailed private download links are bearer credentials: anyone holding one can use it until it expires or is revoked.
Service providers receive the information needed to operate the service. We may disclose records where required by law or to investigate fraud and abuse.
Other records and your rights
Account information is retained while your account is active. Order, accounting and security records may be retained after image deletion as needed to resolve transactions, disputes and applicable legal obligations; the 7-day and 30-day image limits do not apply to those records.
You can request access, correction or deletion of your account information by contacting support. Completed works can be deleted directly in My Works.

Changes
We update the date on this page when this policy changes and communicate material changes through the service where appropriate.
